Originally from outside Boston, Nikki started practicing yoga in High School to compensate for her sports injury that left her on the sidelines. From that moment on, yoga became an important aspect of her everyday life.
Moving to Philadelphia in Fall 2011 brought her to PPY as a work-study student, learning the inner-workings of a yoga studio. Steve then took Nikki under his wing to teach her the philosophy of PPY and the classes that are so important to the PPY clientele.
Nikki has been teaching at PPY since the Summer of 2012, a nice balance from her day (and night) job as a full-time graduate student. She enjoys every minute in the studio, whether sweating it out or teaching others.

Sara’s studio classes are taught in the vinyasa style, a dynamic synchronization of yogic breath and postures. These classes offer a good dose of athletic rigor, met by an equal sense of meditative calm. her relaxed, approachable demeanor infuses each session and encourages practitioners to “be where they are, not where their neighbor is.” Private group and one-on-one sessions are tailored to specific interests and needs, and will always uphold the philosophy that yoga is a continual process of self-inquiry.
Sara is a certified yoga instructor through the Nosara Yoga Institute in Nosara, Costa Rica. She received additional training in yoga for trauma, children and pre-natal. she is forever grateful to all teachers, yoga or otherwise, who have supported her along this journey. She looks forward to joining you on yours.
Originally from Miami, Lisa now resides in South Philly. When not on her mat, she can be found either running, spinning or getting together with her friends and family.
Lisa has taught several of our amazing Yoga Fundraiser classes including most recently for Students Run Philly Style and the National Stroke Association.
Yoga found Ewa in 2001. The challenges she faced on her mat reflected very much on where she was in her life at the time. Ewa realized how much of a positive impact yoga has on her everyday life , on and off the mat. She continually seeks to grow as a teacher and student of yoga. She decided to share her love for yoga by getting her Certification in Power Vinyasa and is E-RYT 200,YACEP (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, Continuing Education Provider) Certified with Yoga Alliance.
Ewa encourages students to move towards their potential in the physical postures and guides students to understand that yoga is not just about the physical practice, but also about a commitment to a positive, life-altering experience. She hopes that students will find a sense of self-discovery, with a deeper aim of self-realization.
